In 1872 she began a successful career at the See also:Vaudeville, and in 1879 was engaged at the Comedie Frangaise, of which she became a societaire in 1880. For many years she played the See also:chief parts both in tragedy and See also:comedy, her See also:grand See also:style and exquisite finesse making her supreme among the younger actresses on the French See also:stage. She had a See also:season in See also:London in 1908, when her consummate See also:art was displayed in a number of parts.
