Caiatia has remains of Cyclopean walls, and under the Piazza del Mercato is a large See also:Roman cistern,which still provides a See also:good See also:water See also:supply: The episcopal see was founded in A.D. 966. The See also:place is frequently confused with See also:Calatia (q.v.).
