CO3UR D'ALENE (" See also:

awl-See also:heart," the See also:French See also:translation of the native name skitswish), a tribe of See also:North See also:American See also:Indians of See also:Salishan stock. The name is said to have been originally that of a See also:chief noted for his See also:cruelty. The tribe has given its name to a See also:lake, See also:river and range of mountains in See also:Idaho, where on a See also:reservation the survivors, some 400, are settled.
