DIMITY , derived from the Gr. 61gtros " See also:

double See also:thread," through the Ital. dimito, " a See also:kind of course linzie-wolzie (See also:Florio, 1611); a See also:cloth commonly employed for See also:bed upholstery and curtains, and usually See also:white, though sometimes a See also:pattern is printed on it in See also:colours. It is stout in texture, and See also:woven in raised patterns.
