DINARD , a seaside See also:

town of See also:north-western See also:France, in the See also:department of Ille-et-Vilaine. The town, which is the See also:chief watering-See also:place of See also:Brittany, is situated on a rocky promontory at the mouth of the See also:Rance opposite St Malo, which is about r m. distant. It is a favourite resort of See also:English and Americans as well as of the See also:French, its attractions being the beauty of its situation, the mildness of the See also:climate and the See also:good bathing. It has two casinos and numerous luxurious hotels and elegant villas. Together with the adjoining watering-place of St Enogat, Dinard has a See also:population of 4882 (1906).
