DOPPLERITE , a naturally occurring organic substance found in amorphous, elastic or jelly-like masses, of brownish-See also:

black See also:colour, in See also:peat beds in See also:Styria and in See also:Switzerland. It is tasteless, insoluble in See also:alcohol and See also:ether, and is described by See also:Dana as an See also:acid substance, or mixture of different acids, related to humic acid.
