FISHER .—Size 30X12 in., tail 12 to 18 in. See also:

long, the largest of the See also:martens; has a dark shaded deep underwool with See also:fine, glossy, dark and strong See also:top See also:hair 2 in. or more long. Best obtained from See also:British See also:America. The tails are almost See also:black and make up most handsomelyinto trimmings, muffs, &c. Tails worked separately in these forms are as See also:rich and fine and more durable than any other See also:fur suitable for a like purpose. The fur of the skin itself is something like a dark silky See also:raccoon, but is not as attractive as the tails. Value 12S. to 465.
