INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL , in See also:England a school, generally established by voluntary contributions, for the industrial training of See also:children, in which children are lodged, clothed and fed, as well as taught. Industrial See also:schools are chiefly for vagrant and neglected children and children not convicted of See also:theft. Such schools are for children up to the See also:age of fourteen, and the limit of detention is sixteen.
