JOSHEKAN , a small See also:

province of See also:Persia covering about boo sq. m. Pop. about 5000. It has a yearly See also:revenue of about 1200, and is held in See also:fief by the See also:family of Bahram Mirza, Muizz ed Dowleh (d. 1882). Its See also:chief See also:town and the See also:residence of the See also:governor used to be Joshekan-See also:Kali, a large See also:village with See also:fine gardens, formerly famous for its carpets (kali), but now the chief See also:place is Maimeh, a little See also:city with a See also:population of 2500, situated at an See also:elevation of 667o ft., about 63 m. from See also:Isfahan in a See also:north-See also:westerly direction and 13 M. See also:south-See also:west of Joshekan-Kali.
