KUNDUZ , a khanate and See also:town of Afghan See also:Turkestan. The khanate is bounded on the E. by See also:Badakshan, on the W. by See also:Tashkurghan, on the N. by the See also:Oxus and on the S. by the See also:Hindu Kush. It is inhabited mainly by Uzbegs. Very little is known about the town, which is the See also:trade centre of a considerable See also:district, including Kataghan, where the best horses in See also:Afghanistan are bred.
