dictionary (q.v.). The word is the Latinized See also:form of Gr. Xe uc6v, sc. Og3),iov, a word-See also:book (X ts, word, Myecv, to speak). Lexicon, rather than dictionary, is used of word-books of the See also:Greek See also:language, and sometimes of Arabic and See also:Hebrew.
