LILOAN , a See also:town of the See also:province of See also:Cebu, Philippine Islands, on the E. See also:coast, ro m. N.E. of Cebu, the See also:capital of the province. Pop. (1903), after the See also:annexation of Compostela, 15,626. There are seventeen villages or barrios in the town, and eight of them had in 1903 a See also:population exceeding r000. The See also:language is Visayan. Fishing is the See also:principal See also:industry. Liloan has one of the principal See also:coal beds on the See also:island; and See also:rice, See also:Indian See also:corn, See also:sugar-See also:cane and See also:coffee are cultivated.
