LOKOJA , a See also:

town of See also:Nigeria, at the junction of the See also:Niger and See also:Benue See also:rivers, founded in 186o by the See also:British See also:consul, W. B. See also:Baikie, and subsequently the military centre of the Royal Niger See also:Company. It is in the See also:province of See also:Kabba, 250 M. from the mouth of the Niger, and is of considerable commercial importance (see NIGERIA and KABBA).
