OLHAO , a seaport of See also:

southern See also:Portugal, in the See also:district of See also:Faro; 5 M. E. of Faro, on the See also:Atlantic See also:coast. Pop. (1900) 10,009. Olhao has a See also:good See also:harbour at the See also:head of the See also:Barra Nova, a deep channel among the sandy islands which fringe the coast. See also:Wine, See also:fruit, See also:cork, baskets and See also:sumach are exported in small See also:coasting vessels; there are important sardine and See also:tunny See also:fisheries; and boats, sails and cordage are manufactured.
