RHOECUS , a Samian sculptor of the 6th See also:

century B.C. He and his son See also:Theodorus were especially noted for their See also:work in See also:bronze. See also:Herodotus says that Rhoecus built the See also:temple of See also:Hera at See also:Samos. In the temple of See also:Artemis at See also:Ephesus was a See also:marble figure of See also:night by Rhoecus. His name has been found on a fragment of a See also:vase which he dedicated to See also:Aphrodite at See also:Naucratis. His sons Theodorus and Telecles made a statue of the Pythian See also:Apollo for the Samians.
