SABICU See also:

WOOD is the produce of a large leguminous See also:tree, Lysiloma Sabicu, a native of See also:Cuba. The wood has a See also:rich See also:mahogany See also:colour; it is exceedingly heavy, hard and durable, and therefore most valuable for See also:shipbuilding. Sabicu, on See also:account of its durability, was selected for the stairs of the See also:Great See also:Exhibition (See also:London) of 1851, and, notwithstanding the enormous See also:traffic which passed over them, the wood at the end was found to be little affected by See also:wear.
