SALSOMAGGIORE , a See also:

village of See also:Emilia, See also:Italy, in the See also:province of See also:Parma, 6 m. S.W. of Borgo See also:San Donnino by See also:steam See also:tramway. Pop. (1901) 1387 (village); 7274 (See also:commune). It is situated 525 ft. above See also:sea-level at the See also:foot of the See also:Apennines, and is a popular watering-See also:place, the See also:baths being especially frequented. The See also:water is strongly saline.
