SCAURUS, See also:QUINTUS TERENTIUS , Latin grammarian, flourished during the reign of See also:Hadrian (Aulus See also:Gellius xi. Is). He was the author of an ars grammatica and commentaries on See also:Plautus, See also:Virgil's Aeneid and probably See also:Horace. Under his name two fragments are extant—the longer from his See also:work on See also:orthography (De orthographia), the shorter (chiefly on the use of prepositions) from another grammatical work.
