TAVASTEHUS , a See also:

province of See also:Finland, bounded by the provinces of Nyland, See also:Viborg, See also:Vasa and St See also:Michel. Pop. (1904) 317,326. The province is largely unproductive, much of the See also:surface being composed of hills and lakes, but in favourable districts See also:agriculture is sucessfully pursued, and there is a school of agriculture and an See also:institute of forestry.
