WHISKER , a word chiefly used in the plural in the sense of the See also:

hair worn by a See also:man on the cheeks as opposed to the See also:beard on the See also:chin and the See also:moustache on the upper See also:lip (see BEARD). It is also applied to the bristly feelers growing See also:round the mouth of a See also:cat or other See also:animal.
