The History of Europe And the Church   The Relationship that Shaped the Western World The historic relationship between Europe and the Church is a relationship that has shaped the history of the Western World. Europe stands at a momentous crossroads. Events taking shape there will radically change the face of the continent and world. To properly understand today's news and the events that lie ahead, a grasp of the sweep of European history is essential. Only within an historical context can the events of our time be fully appreciated - which is why this narrative series is written in the historic present to give the reader a sense of being on the scene as momentous events unfold on the stage of history.

In 1996, a shocking World War II intelligence document was made public. The document, detailing an August 1944 meeting between top German industrialists, reveals a secret post-war plan to restore the Nazis to power. Several of Germany’s elite industries were represented, including Messerschmitt and Volkswagenwerks. These companies, the document asserts, were to “prepare themselves to finance the Nazi Party which would be forced to go underground.” When the U.S. declassified this document, it received only sparse news coverage. Yet even more disturbing than the deep stupor of the press is the fact that THE U.S. GOVERNMENT DID NOT MAKE IT PUBLIC UNTIL 1996 — over 50 years later!

By 1944, the Germans knew they would lose World War II and were already planning for the next round! “Existing financial reserves in foreign countries,” the document says, “must be placed at the disposal of the party so that a strong GERMAN EMPIRE can be created after the defeat.”

Those at the 1944 meeting understood that the most prominent members of the Nazi Party would be condemned as war criminals. “However,” the document maintains, “in cooperation with the industrialists it is arranging to place its less conspicuous but most important members in positions with various German factories as technical experts or members of its research and designing offices.”

How alarming! Why was so little written about this in 1996?
Why did it take so long for it to be declassified?

Historians have long debated whether or not a secret Nazi plan was made for a post-war, international network. Now that it has been confirmed, the central question is whether it has been carried out.

Brian Connell, in his 1957 book A Watcher on the Rhine, offered abundant proof of that plan being carried out. He drew attention to a watershed event in 1947, just two years after the war, when Allied authorities foolishly handed over denazification responsibilities to, of all people, the Germans! After 1947, denazification in Germany, according to Connell, was a farce!

Consider the province of Bavaria for example.

“The Bavarian administration,” Connell wrote, “is largely in the hands of those who controlled it under Hitler.”

“Statistics show that 20,682 of the 49,445 civil servants belonged to the Nazi Party or its affiliates. A total of 14,443 of these were dismissed and later reinstated in the service. Almost all of the 11,000 teachers who were removed for political reasons have been reappointed, representing roughly 60 percent of the teaching staff employed by the Min istry of Education. Sixty percent of the 15,000 employees in the Finance Ministry are former Nazis, and 81 percent of the 924 judges, magistrates and prosecutors in the Ministry of Justice”

“The German government declared officially that the denazification procedure had been terminated” (ibid.).

“New teachers were appointed, and a degree of independence assured to individual instructions, which should have made education for democracy a feasible proposition. But many of the former Nazi teachers have found their way back.”

“In Western Germany, the newly prosperous Ruhr industrialists, the still impenitent core of former Nazis … represents a challenge to the democratic order.”

Public opinion after the war indicated that Nazism was still in full force. Roger Eatwell referred to these revealing opinion polls in his book, Fascism:

“Although only about 10-15 percent of the population were classified as hard-core Nazi, the researchers found that there was a strong, lingering sense of racism. In 1946, 48 percent of Germans thought that some races were more fitted to rule than others; even more remarkably in 1949, 59 percent were willing to say that Nazism was a good idea badly carried out…. Few claimed to have been opponents of the regime.”

In 1997, Martin Lee, in his fascinating book, The Beast Reawakens, revealed that

“there had never really been a clean break from the Nazi past, given that the original leadership of the West German Bundeswehr was recruited directly from the upper echelons of Hitler’s army. (Only three out of 217 Bundeswehr generals in 1976 were not Third Reich veterans, and 37 military bases in the Bonn Republic were named after soldiers who made their reputations during the Hitler years”

Ever since the Communist stranglehold on Eastern Europe loosened, and then finally let go during the late ’80s and early ’90s, fascists have been clamoring to fill the power vacuum. Nothing hastened this power change over more than when the Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989, exactly 66 years after Hitler was arrested for his famous beer hall putsch. Almost overnight, a neo-Nazi revival was underway in the Fatherland. They had been dwelling underground long enough. The Beast Reawakens, as the title plainly suggests, reveals the insidious details of this sinister revival.

Nazism is far from being dead in Germany! Today, rightwing extremism continues to increase dramatically—even in German elections! Should that surprise us?

Another important report was given by Herbert W. Armstrong from the United Nations building on May 9, 1945, just nine months after the secret meeting between German industrialists. In that report he said,

“The war is over, in Europe — or is it?”

“We don’t understand German thoroughness,” he said. “From the very start of World War II, they have considered the possibility of losing this second round, as they did the first — and they have carefully, methodically planned, in such eventuality, the third round — World War III ! Hitler has lost. This round of war in Europe is over. And the Nazis have now gone underground.”

Think about what Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt said right after the war:

“It is our inflexible purpose to destroy German militarism and Nazism.”

Western leaders from both sides of the Atlantic assured our peoples that a demoralized Germany would never rise up to strike again. In a signed document about American-British policy on Germany in February 1945, Franklin Roosevelt and Winston Churchill said,

“It is our inflexible purpose to destroy German militarism and Nazism and to ensure that Germany will never again be able to disturb the peace of the world. We are determined to disarm and disband all German armed forces, break up for all time the German General Staff that has repeatedly contrived the resurgence of German militarism; remove or destroy all German military equipment; eliminate or control all German industry that could be used for military production. … It is not our purpose to destroy the people of Germany, but only when Nazism and militarism have been extirpated will there be hope for a decent life for Germans and a place for them in the community of nations.”

Our leaders today keep acting as though Germany has repented.
We have forgotten our strong commitment after World War II to control Germany.

Take a look at the astounding post-World War II success of the above-mentioned six companies identified in the declassified document. Postwar Commercial Campaign ?

YOU DON’T PREVENT GERMANY FROM STARTING WORLD WAR III BY HELPING THEM BUILD THEIR EMPIRE IN YUGOSLAVIA AND EUROPE! GERMANY’S ACTIONS ARE NOT THOSE OF A PEOPLE DEEPLY REPENTANT FOR THE DEATHS OF 60-70 MILLION PEOPLE IN TWO WORLD WARS!

Once the U.S. released and then supported this fascist beast in Croatia and Slovenia, there was no stopping it. It didn’t cease until all of Yugoslavia was under its strong influence or control.
Now if we think the beast will return to its cage, we are very naive.

Kosovo was a turning point in the Yugoslavia war. After this state essentially came under German influence and control, the rest of Yugoslavia was certain to fall. When Germany’s oppressive influence moved beyond Croatia and Slovenia, the careful observer could see that Germany’s ambition was to control all of Yugoslavia.

UNDER THE UMBRELLA OF NATO, GERMANY HAS IN RECENT years obtained complete acceptance by the West of the deployment of both its ground and air forces in combat roles. Not only that, the Kosovo conflict is gaining for Germany that which it has sought all along in the Balkans:
a warm-water port.

Durrës, the principle port on the coast of Albania in the warm Adriatic Sea, is the plum. The port of Durrës, located near the junction of the Adriatic and Mediterranean seas, is within closest proximity of any port in either sea to the largest concentration of ballistic and anti-ballistic weaponry in the entire Mediterranean region. The German-dominated EU is spending $17 million to renovate this port as it busily reconstructs Albania’s infrastructure.

Albania became the main base of operations for the peacekeeping forces in Yugoslavia during the Kosovo war. The trade-off was the huge benefit to its weakened ex-Maoist economy. As the U.S. and NATO withdraw from the Balkans, their place is being taken by the emerging Euroforce.The German-led EU will eventually take over all of the infrastructure put in place and maintained to that point largely by U.S. and British taxpayers’money in support of their defense contribution to lame-duck NATO.

In the Balkan Peninsula, it will then be game, set and match to Germany. GERMANY — THE PEACE - BROKER IN KOSOVO, THE FUTURE ADMINISTRATOR OF KOSOVO AND OF THE WHOLE BALKAN PENINSULA — THE LEAD NATION IN THE EUROCOMBINE SHORTLY TO RULE THE EUROPEAN CONTINENT AND EXTEND ITS POWERFUL REACH GLOBALLY TO IMPACT ALL NATIONS.

STATE BY STATE, THE COUNTRY OF YUGOSLAVIA HAS BEEN conquered. Even the name Yugoslavia is being discarded. MOST OF THIS CONQUERING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH U.S. MILITARY POWER. But it is Germany and the European Union that are taking control of the former Yugoslavia. And Germany is giving the U.S. no credit, though it does often blame America for many of the problems that have developed.

Former Yugoslavia is a part of the Balkans, or Balkan Peninsula, along with Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Greece and European Turkey. The Balkan Peninsula is an extremely important strategic area.

The Adriatic Sea is an arm of the Mediterranean Sea.
The German-led EU is also working hard to get control of the Mediterranean Sea — of even greater strategic importance.

Look at any map and you can see the strategic value.
However, it seems only Germany fully realizes the significance of these areas. The Germans are willing to fight the whole world to gain control of them. It seems nobody has asked why these areas are so important to Germany!

Where is this leading?
The same spirit that caused Germany to start two world wars still prevails in that land!

This major turnaround in the Balkans has caused Europe to look to Germany once again.

Notice what Sir Winston Churchill said, May 31, 1935:

“Everywhere these countries are being made to look to Germany in a special way.”

The Germans are specialists at creating a situation where they can then come in and propose their version of a solution to that problem.

AND TODAY ALL OF EUROPE IS LOOKING TO GERMANY IN A SPECIAL WAY. The outcome will be frighteningly similar to World War II — except it will be about a thousand times worse!

It seems we have learned nothing from Germany’s history.
Even terrifying events like World War II taught us nothing — just as WINSTON CHURCHILL WARNED THE WORLD IN THE 1930's THAT IT HAD LEARNED NOTHING FROM GERMANY’S HISTORY AND WORLDWAR I.

Here is what he said February 7, 1934:

“NOT ONE OF THE LESSONS OF THE PAST HAS BEEN LEARNED, NOT ONE OF THEM HAS BEEN APPLIED, AND THE SITUATION IS INCOMPARABLY MORE DANGEROUS.”

And the situation today “is incomparably more dangerous,” with our weapons of mass destruction, than it was in World War II !

EU Commission [EC] President Romano Prodi promised today in Athens that all Balkan countries

‘can become members of the EU one day.’ ‘...IN THE LONG RUN, BALKANS BELONG STRICTLY TO THE EU.’
“Malta is the southern pillar of Europe …. I want to see Malta in the EU.”

Gunter Verheugen, European commissioner for enlargement, said if Malta joined the EU it would

“become a gateway.… For Europe, Malta has been described as A SPRINGBOARD TO THE WHOLE MEDITERRANEAN REGION, and especially to the African and Middle Eastern shores.”

WHY ALL THIS STRATEGIC INTEREST?
BECAUSE THE GERMAN-LED EU WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD!
If you think that is far-fetched, just look at the history of the bloody Holy Roman Empire. It has been the exact opposite of “holy.”
And it has always had the goal of ruling the world!

We are seeing a resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire.
This next resurrection of the Holy Roman empire will be the bloodiest.
A resurrected medieval ‘Holy Roman Empire’ to dominate Europe and equal Russia and the United-States in world power.

What the world does not realize is that, under cover, secret planning is proceeding furiously, not covered by the news media, unknown by the public.
But suddenly, unexpectedly, as biblical prophecy reveals, the whole world will be startled and shocked into WONDER, to learn that a new THIRD SUPER WORLD POWER has suddenly burst forth onto the world scene—a resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire by a union of 10 nations in Europe—very possibly five in Western Europe, and five broken loose from what was then the Communist orbit in Eastern Europe!

Let the world beware!
People could see, and even feel, the seething if they only understood a little history. But they refuse to be taught by history— even quite recent history!
Our “indulgent press” (Winston Churchill’s words) leaves many of our people confused, because its writings are so vague and lacking in facts. Too often they report “smooth things”.

In the mid-1930s, Winston Churchill warned his people,

“Something quite extraordinary is afoot. All the signals are set for danger. The red lights flash through the gloom.” He was concerned “that Europe, and indeed the world, may be rescued from the catastrophe with which the future is loaded.”

They called him a war-monger and his career nearly ended then. A few years later they called upon him to clean up the mess which they were partially responsible for by not putting a stop to Hitlers activities. They made Churchill Prime minister of England !

In his biography of Winston Churchill, William Manchester wrote:

“The Germans, after all, had been belligerent for 2,000 years; British public school boys were taught that ‘Civilization stops at the Rhine and the Danube, the frontiers of the Roman Empire,’ or, as Winston put it, ‘A Hun alive is a war in prospect.’ In the past 70 years Germany had writ her name large on battlefields ….”

Germany has a WARMONGERING HEART, when they are militarily strong.
Churchill emphasized this problem before World War II.
He said,

“Nothing but A CHANGE OF THE GERMAN HEART can avert another catastrophe,” and that was “unlikely to come from within, for THE TRUE GERMAN NATURE has NEVER CHANGED”!

The Germans are a great people, but they have been victims of a cruel system. Their nature has been nurtured by the Holy Roman Empire, which has been directly led by the most evil being in the universe!

Manchester also wrote,

“By the early 1930s, however, the strongest emotion aroused in Germany’s neighbors was primitive terror. The Germans knew it; they had deliberately provoked it in two wars, and had even given it a name, Schrecklichkeit (frightfulness). The 19th-century Prussian strategist Karl von Clausewitz had encouraged it as a means of shortening wars by putting the enemy ‘in a situation in which continuing the war is more oppressive to him than surrender.’ Teutonic troops, armed and dangerous, were frightful. They had practiced Schrecklichkeit in 1914, when bands of French and Belgian guerrillas defending their own soil had led to German executions of civilians,hostages and prisoners of war. ‘Suddenly,’ Barbara Tuchman writes, ‘THE WORLD BECAME AWARE OF THE BEAST BENEATH THE GERMAN SKIN.’

“In the 1920s and 1930s, accounts of these crimes were suppressed by pacifists in das Ausland, that revealing German term which welded all nations outside the Reich into a single collective noun. The new line was that all tales of German atrocities in the Great War had been Allied propaganda. But Belgians who had treated their invaders with disrespect had in fact been led before firing squads as early as the second day of the war. German records proved it. If Belgian refugees slowed the German advance, hostages were picked at random and killed. One can find their gravestones today, inscribed ‘1914: Fusillé par les Allemands’ — ‘Shot by the Germans’”

Meekly caving in to—or empowering—Germany today is leading to a far worse disaster than Hitler and World War II !
A militarily powerful Germany loves to frighten other nations.
Repeatedly it has become a “beast.” And it is the beast of all beasts!

How long will it take the world to learn what Winston Churchill knew so deeply? He taught us that lesson so effectively before and during World War II. But we have refused to learn.

In 2000, Germany gave then-U.S. President Bill Clinton the Charlemagne Prize. Yet Charlemagne waded through blood to conquer Europe (as Bismarck and Hitler did)! We can see why President Clinton was given such honor by the Germans. When Mr. Clinton was president, he knowingly EMPOWERED GERMANY to become the greatest political force in Europe. That act will prove to be AMERICA’S WORST FOREIGN-POLICY DISASTER EVER!

This is a strange paradox. The U.S. is giving Germany control of the very nations that Hitler fought a bloody war attempting to conquer!

Who in these modern times has cut off many nations in warfare?
At least we should remember what Germany did in World Wars I and II ! But that is the way Germany has acted throughout history.
They are a great and talented people, but too often overwhelmed by an evil system.

Many nations have been destroyed by the power of the Germans.
In Anvil of Civilization, author Leonard Cottrell says,

“In all the annals of human conquest, it is difficult to find any people more dedicated to bloodshed and slaughter than the Assyrians. Their ferocity and cruelty have few parallels SAVE IN MODERN TIMES”— referring to Germany.

The greatest war machine in all of history was Assyria. They were great conquerors. They had superior weapons and superior organization. The Assyrians and the Germans are obviously the same people.

Ancient City of Trier On the banks of the Mosel River in western Germany, just six miles from the Luxembourg border, is the ancient German city of Trier. The Romans claim to be the founders of this ancient city. But German tradition, and even the name of the city, suggests otherwise. “On das Rotes Haus (the Red House) beside the Steipe, there is a text in Latin boasting that Trier, or Treves, is older than Rome, 1300 years older in fact. That is when Trebeta, son of Semiramis, is said to have founded the town.” That’s what it says in the opening paragraph of the Trier Colorphoto Guide to the Town. Josef K.L. Bihl writes in his German textbook, In Deutschen Landen, “Trier was founded by Trebeta, a son of the famous Assyrian King Ninus” (p. 69). Ninus, according to Roman, Greek and Persian records, was the first ruler who began the systematic conquest of the ancient world after the death of Nimrod. Semiramis was married to Nimrod, the founder of Babylon (Genesis 10:8-10). Verse 11 says that Asshur and his descendants went out of Babylon and constructed the Assyrian capital — Nineveh. But as the margin correctly indicates, it was Nimrod who led Asshur out of Babylon and who actually supervised the construction project in Nineveh. Early on, the Bible indicates a close alliance between Nimrod and Asshur. There is an obvious reason why the German city of Trier traces its origins back to Trebeta, the son of Nimrod's successor, Ninus, as well as the ancient Assyrian capital of Nineveh. It’s because modern-day Germany is mostly made up of Assyrian people!

Notice these startling media reports:

1 - “Europe has begun a Balkans offensive.”

2 - “NATO is making a big push for the Europeans to take over the alliance’s military operations in Macedonia.”

3 - “… Brussels will have no choice but to take over the Balkan peacekeeping mission for its own practical security and as a proving ground for EU military ambitions.…”

4 - “With the United States committed to disengaging from the Balkans, Germany will emerge as the dominant power in there and, by extension, in European defense policy.…”

5 - “The current struggle for influence over the region is rooted in history. Germany has always been closer to Croatia and Slovenia, and former Chancellor Helmut Kohl’s early recognition of their break from Yugoslavia helped to precipitate the Balkan wars of the 1990s.…”

6 - “Germany is seeking to reassert itself at the center of Europe, and the Balkans play a big part in that strategy. It is an area where Germany can expand its military reach without frightening either itself or its neighbors. Berlin also would like to build on its ties with Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Bulgaria to pull both southern and Eastern Europe under its wing as the EU expands” (www.stratfor.com, March 6, 2002).”

All of these journalists see that Germany is leading the EU.
NOW THE GERMANS HAVE AN AREA (FORMER YUGOSLAVIA) TO TEST AND BUILD THEIR MILITARY — RELATIVELY UNNOTICED BY THE WORLD! At the same time, the second leg, or foot (Eastern Europe), of the empire is developing.

However, it gets even more troubling. Notice this revealing quote:

“Berlin Plus [an agreement between NATO and the EU] gives the Europeans access to NATO planning and assets for missions that they want to carry out independently of NATO, provided that NATO does not want to take the lead in the first place” (Financial Times, London,Dec. 17, 2002).

That means that the EU uses “NATO planning and assets” — mostly U.S. — to build this Frankenstein monster. And the monster is already turning against its primary builder — America!

AMERICA, THE WORLD’S NUMBER-ONE SUPERPOWER, IS GOING TO BE THE NUMBER-ONE TARGET! That military power has been the key to beating the Germans in two world wars. Germany plans to obliterate it first in the next war.

After an open-skies treaty, the Germans are now making surveillance flights over the United States. Also, all of the U.S. nuclear weaponry is now controlled from Washington D.C. There are no more submarines with independent authority to launch nuclear missiles. America and Britain are becoming dangerously vulnerable.

What has happened in former Yugoslavia over the past decade is a major sign of how close Germany is to achieving its worldwide ambition. The history of Germany reveals where the events in Europe today are leading.

Germany Invited to Nuclear Club
During World-War II, allied scientists raced against German physicists to be the first to develop an atomic bomb. The Allies succeeded, and Germany was defeated. Today, nuclear-armed France is offering to open its nuclear defense door to neighboring Germany.

In a meeting in Germany on September 10, 2007, French President Nicolas Sarkozy shocked German officials by offering them access to France's nuclear defense system. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier declined the offer, with Steinmeier stating that Germany has no intention of becomingn a nuclear power.

Still, with this offer, the door is wide open for Germany to begin acquiring nuclear weapons, a possibility that puts many history-conscious pundits ill at ease. The present German administration may not seem interested in accepting the keys to the bomb, but a future administration may be very interested.

Watch Germany. As Germany goes, so goes the European Union.

Do you know who helped Nazis escape after World War II more than any other institution? — The Vatican !

Mark Aarons and John Loftus, in their book Unholy Trinity, thoroughly documented the fact that the Vatican sponsored and engineered the infamous "Ratlines" - used to help many Nazi leaders escape from the Allies at the end of World War II. Aarons and Loftus based their 1991 book on intelligence documents that had just been released. Those documents had been classified for nearly 50 years.

(That massive and diabolical cover-up is another tragic story in itself.)

Vatican Hides Nazi and Ustashi War Criminals

After World War II the Roman Catholic church hid and orchestrated the escape from justice of Nazi and Ustashi war criminals. In their book, Unholy Trinity, Mark Aarons and John Loftus revealed the contents of hitherto secret documents that exposed Vatican complicity in the escape of Nazi war criminals. Some of the documents were obtained from a daring burglary of the offices of Father Krunolav Draganovic. Father Draganovic took over from Bishop Alois Hudal the running of the Vatican program for the escape of WW-II war criminals.

Aarons and Loftus concluded:
Under the direction of Pope Pius XII, Vatican officials such as Monsignor Giovanni Montini (later Pope Paul VI) supervised one of the greatest obstructions of justice in modern history . . . facilitat[ing] the escape of tens of thousands of Nazi [war criminals] to the West.

The Vatican ran a ratline of Nazi and Ustashi war criminals. Many of these war criminals were given sanctuary inside the Vatican. They were given forged documents and hidden in monasteries and convents. Many of them ended up in Argentina under the protection of Roman Catholic Dictator Juan Peron.

Agent Robert Mudd of the United States Army Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC) reported that Croatian War Criminals traveled back and forth from the Vatican several times per week in chauffeured automobiles with license plates bearing “CD” (Corps Diplomatic). Because the cars had diplomatic license plates and hence diplomatic immunity they could not be stopped.

Ante Pavelic, the Croatian Fuhrer who was the leader of the Ustashi and was responsible for the extermination of countless Jews and 750,000 Serbs, was smuggled into the Vatican. He hid in the Vatican disguised as a Catholic priest. He became a good friend of Monsignor Giovannni Battista Montini, who was then the Vatican’s Under Secretary of State (in 1963 Montini was crowned Pope Paul VI). By November 1947 the Vatican had smuggled Pavelic out of Rome and into Buenos Aires. A 1947 U.S. diplomatic report revealed that upon Pavelic’s arrival in Buenos Aires he was met by a retinue of Catholic priests. Upon Pavelic’s death, December 1959, Pope John XXIII pronounced his personal benediction on him.

The Vatican protected and orchestrated the escape of such Nazi war criminals as Adolph Eichman, one of the most notorious mass murderers in history. Eichman was the head of the SS Department for Jewish Affairs and was in charge of the entire “final solution.” The Vatican orchestrated the escapes of Jose Mengele, the Sadistic Auschwitz Angel of Death, and Klaus Barbie, the Lyons, France Gestapo Chief, known as the “Butcher of Lyon.”

The Vatican orchestrated the escape of Franz Stangl. Stangl was the commandant of the infamous concentration camp at Treblinka; he presided over the murders of thousands of inmates. The Vatican through its agents arranged for Stangl’s escape from a prison camp in Austria. He was then smuggled into the Vatican. He was met there by Catholic Bishop Alois Hudal, who was in charge of running the ratline of Nazis who were fleeing justice. Hudal was assisted in setting up the ratline by Walter Rauff, former SS Intelligence Chief and himself a Nazi war criminal.

Former SS Captain Erich Priebke was convicted of the March 1944 killing near Rome of 335 civilians, including 75 Jews. On July 22, 1997 Priebke received a five year slap on the wrist from a Rome military tribunal. The significance of Priebke’s case is that he admitted that he was helped by the Vatican in his escape from a British prisoner of war camp and that the Vatican orchestrated his flight from justice to Argentina.

Pope Pius XII applied political pressure to allow his personal representatives to visit prisoners, ostensibly to “minister” to them. The real purpose was to identify and smuggle out Nazi war criminals. The book of Revelations tells us that the harlot of Rome has written on her forehead: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Revelation 17:5. Rome is a mother, and like a mother she seeks to protect her children. Only the Roman children are “abominations of the earth.” Bishop Hudal, head of the Vatican ratline and close advisor to Pope Pius XII had this to say:

I thank God that He [allowed me] to visit . . . prisons and concentration camps and [to help prisoners] escape with false identity papers . . . I felt duty bound after 1945 to devote my whole charitable work mainly to former National Socialists [Nazis] and Fascists, especially to so called ‘war criminals.’

Aarons and Loftus, after reviewing the official Vatican documents and the other evidence concluded:
Instead of smuggling homeless Jews to Argentina, the Ratlines smuggled Eichman, Pavelic, and Stangl, among many others. Instead of denouncing Bishop Hudal, the Vatican replaced him with a less conspicuous but far more efficient and effective operative in the form of Father Draganovic.

What the Vatican did after World War II was a crime. The evidence is unequivocal: the Holy See aided the flight of fugitives from international justice. The Ratlines were intentionally created to aid and abet the escape of wanted Nazi war criminals.

We find no defense of ignorance: Pius XII was fully aware of Ante Pavelic’s crimes. Nor was he the only case. The Ratlines operated with reckless disregard for the fugitives’ crimes against humanity.

The Pope’s diplomatic messages reveal a pattern of protection and intercession for war criminals . . . the Vatican knew they were sheltering war Nazis.

We find no defense of unauthorized conduct: the Ratlines were an official extension of covert Vatican diplomacy. . . . There was virtually unanimous agreement among the surviving witnesses that Draganovic operated with the highest official sanction. . . . The intelligence files of several nations confirm that the Vatican’s top leaders authorized and directed the smuggling of fugitive war criminals.

The Roman Catholic Church is mired in a pedophilia scandal in several nations. However, there is a far worse scandal in that church that we all should be deeply concerned about. Most of the media is not even exposing it.

Some people believe that we are too critical of the Catholic Church at times. So let me make this very clear: We believe that God is going to save most Catholics and most members of other religions. But God is going to do it in His own time frame. That is easily provable from the Bible.

Here is an oppressively disturbing report by Allan Hall in the Mail Online, March 12 (emphasis mine throughout):

Germany is fighting to keep files sealed that detail Adolf Eichmann’s life on the run before he was captured by Mossad agents and tried for war crimes in Israel.

Documents about the Holocaust’s chief logistics organizer’s escape from Europe and 15-year-exile in Argentina are currently bound by a 50-year secrecy order.

But campaigners challenging the rule say the Eichmann files may prove German and Vatican officials colluded in his escape and freedom.

The secrecy order is being fought in a benchmark court case against the bnd, Germany’s domestic intelligence service, which wants the 4,500 pages of documents on Adolf Eichmann to remain out of the public domain.

They cite that intelligence agencies in our countries will be ‘frightened off’ in future data-sharing if they are revealed.

Critics believe this is a smokescreen designed to avoid official embarrassment both in Berlin and the Vatican.

It is well documented that German Bishop Alois Hudal in Rome operated postwar ‘ratlines,’ getting passports for wanted Nazis to allow them to escape justice.

Franz Stangl, commandant of the Treblinka extermination camp, admitted to British Nazi expert Gitta Sereny that Hudal helped him get away after the defeat of Germany in 1945.

Eichmann also escaped. He was the ultimate ‘desk murderer’ in the Third Reich who, as head of department IVB4 of the SS in Berlin, was responsible for the trains that carried millions to their deaths at extermination centers in Nazi-occupied Poland.

After the war he was captured but fled from Allied custody. …

For 15 years he lived, sometimes under his own name, in Argentina, raising his family while working at a VW car plant.

In 1960, acting on a tip-off, a Mossad team was dispatched to Buenos Aires with orders to kidnap him and bring him back to Israel for trial.

He was seized, stood trial, found guilty and hanged on May 31, 1962.

Now the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig, Germany, is studying the files about his getaway from Europe and life in Argentina to decide if they should be made public. …

But critics believe what the files will really reveal are the levels of assistance, succor and turning a blind eye to Nazi fugitives from officials in defeated Germany, together with details of Vatican assistance to top war criminals like Eichmann. …

It is well known that the German Embassy in Buenos Aires issued German passports to Eichmann and his family in their real names when they applied for them.

The same went for Dr. Josef Mengele, the infamous medic of the Auschwitz extermination camp.

The Ratlines

Trumpet readers are well aware that in December 1991, Germany decided to recognize breakaway Yugoslav republics Slovenia and Croatia despite strong opposition from the EU, the United States and the United Nations — and despite the fact that the move again resurrected unsavory memories of Germany’s fascist past.

One week later, the Vatican also recognized Croatia.

The EU eventually recognized the two states a month later. The UN also backed away from a direct confrontation with Germany. And the U.S. — which at first blamed the Germans for provoking Yugoslavia’s civil war by their recognition of the two breakaway states — eventually flip-flopped to even SUPPORT Germany’s decision militarily!

In their book Unholy Trinity, Mark Aarons and John Loftus give us powerful reasons to fear Germany and the Vatican.

Mark Aarons is an international award-winning investigative reporter and author of several books on intelligence-related issues. Based in Australia, he exposed war criminals in that country and prompted changes to Australian federal law. John Loftus, author of four intelligence-related history books, is the former chief prosecutor of the U.S. Justice Department’s Nazi War Crimes Unit. As such, he once held some of the highest security clearances in the world.

During World War II, many Serbs, according to these well-informed authors, were butchered by the Croats using medieval methods.

“[E]yes had been gouged out,” they wrote, “limbs severed, intestines and other internal organs ripped from the bodies of the living. Some were slaughtered like beasts, their throats cut from ear to ear with special knives. Others died from blows to their heads with sledgehammers. Many more were simply burned alive.”

Much more alarming, however, is the “special relationship” between the pope and Croatia at a time when Croatian fascists were slaughtering Serbs. Aarons and Loftus say the atrocities were already under way when Pope Pius XII met with Ante Pavelic, Croatia’s leader, in April 1941.

The pope agreed to meet with Pavelic again in May 1943, by which time the Nazi atrocities against the Serbs were without refute. Yet, according to Unholy Trinity,

“Pius himself promised to give Pavelic his personal blessing again. By this time, the Holy See possessed abundant evidence of the atrocities committed by his regime.”

Any right-thinking person ought to ask why the very highest officials in the Catholic Church, including the pope, would associate with and even protect Croatian fascists.

The Vatican’s connection with this sordid history went beyond a simple blessing from the pope. The Vatican actually helped to smuggle many of the worst criminals of the age! “For fugitive Nazis, all roads had indeed led to Rome,” Aarons and Loftus wrote.

High-ranking ministers, civil servants, even Ante Pavelic himself, with help from the Vatican’s ratlines, were able to disappear into thin air, intelligence sources have confirmed. At the time, the Vatican labeled these escapees “refugees.” But they were Croatian fascists who were helping Hitler’s regime!

Remember, this all happened at the end of World War II!

Documents prove that Pope Pius XII was by far the greatest Nazi smuggler at the end of World War II! In spite of that despicable history, Pope Pius XII is already headed for canonization by Pope Benedict XVI! Not exactly an act of repentance! And another man who later became pope, Giovanni Montini, was also deeply involved in this crime against humanity!

What if Germany turns its wrath toward America, first of all, the next time around? That is precisely what the post-World War II Nazi underground has pledged to do!

They know that the U.S. mass-produced most of the armaments that beat them in World Wars I and II.

We cannot afford to take this lightly.

These shocking facts reveal that the Vatican was deeply involved with the Germans in World War II. There is simply no other explanation. But most people continue to ignore the truth — to their own great peril !

Aarons and Loftus understand the important history between Croatia and the papacy, dating back to a.d. 700. The Catholic Church has been involved in mass murder since a.d. 554, when the first Holy Roman Empire began. This church has more to hide — or repent of — than any other institution in the history of the world!

It was primarily Germany and the Vatican that started the war in Yugoslavia. This is the so-called Holy Roman Empire in action! This power should be feared a thousand times more than the Serbs. Still the world races madly toward disaster because men refuse to face the truth.

Why can’t we see that Germany and the Vatican are renewing their ties from World War II? That history reaches back to Charlemagne and beyond. No war-making machine has ever spilled more blood.

Why would a church that is supposed to teach God’s love again ally itself with Croatia and Germany, considering their heinous Nazi crimes? Wouldn’t a repentant church or state do just the opposite? Unless they are planning for a future somewhat akin to the dream of Adolf Hitler!

Margaret Thatcher was the only high-ranking politician in the last generation who would even discuss the “German problem” in modern Europe. Only she had the understanding and courage to do so! It probably cost Mrs. Thatcher her job.

No politician today has yet had the courage to discuss the Vatican problem. That weakness can only lead to a bloody disaster.

At the time of Croatia’s breaking away, President Franjo Tudjman refused to admit any wrongdoing on Croatia’s part in the Nazi slaughter of World War II. Yet Germany and the Vatican still defied the world and started a civil war to recognize that Catholic nation! Does that make either of those entities appear repentant of their World War II sins? And if they are not repentant, what does that portend for our future?

This is just the small beginning of the resurrected Holy Roman Empire with its bloody past and bloodier future. However, it is politically incorrect to criticize the Vatican or Germany for continuing their horrendous past. That requires courage that our politicians and religious leaders today do not have.

The ratlines prove how closely the Vatican worked with the Nazis — perhaps the most barbaric and savagely cruel government ever on Earth!

Still the Catholic Church is forgiven — by men. Not only this time, but also throughout the bloody history of the Holy Roman Empire.

The world has seen six heads of that violent and bloody empire, comprised mostly of Germany and the Vatican. Now the seventh and last head is on the scene. The seventh head is going to be the most brutal and cruel empire of them all. It is going to cause the worst suffering ever on Earth — far eclipsing the suffering of World War II.

The real Vatican scandal revolves around the ratlines of the sixth head of the Holy Roman Empire — Germany and the Vatican in World War II. These two entities have followed that same brutal philosophy in every head of the Holy Roman Empire. Any good history book will tell you that.

But here is the best possible news you could ever receive: That seventh and last head of the Holy Roman Empire is going to usher in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to bring this world peace and full joy! Many Bible prophecies reveal that truth. When Christ was on this Earth, He prophesied that He would have to return or there would be no flesh saved alive! (Matthew 24:21).

That great event will smash the seventh and last head of the Holy Roman Empire forever!

If those prophesied seven heads of the Holy Roman Empire have appeared — and they have — then so must the prophesied Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

God’s Word has never failed. It cannot fail. Knowing this should fill us with real hope.

Obviously God must resurrect most of those billions of people who have lived in the past to teach them this awesome truth. That too is prophesied.

The ultimate shocker today is not about the “ratlines.” The most mind-numbing shocker is how gullible people are about Germany and the Vatican!

Americans, the British peoples and the Jewish nation are going to learn the truth by what I am writing or by being victims of the Holy Roman Empire. We have been teaching this message for over 70 years. God’s true Church has warned about the Holy Roman Empire for about 1,500 years!

By words or events, God is about to awaken men from their spiritual coma.

As the representatives of one old school fade away, those of another very opposite old school revive. The results will soon shake the world.

During a recent visit to the United Kingdom, I met up with a man who is an icon of a bygone age. His name is Harry Beckhough.

Now in his 96th year, Harry was recently honored by receiving a personal invitation to the British Conservative Party annual conference in October. There, in the city of Birmingham, Prime Minister David Cameron referred to Harry Beckhough, the longest-standing member of the Conservative Party in Britain, as being “very special.”

During the course of his keynote speech, Prime Minister Cameron declared,

“Harry, without people like you, we wouldn’t be here …. [T]hank you for everything you’ve done — and all you represent.”

Whether the prime minister realized it or not (and his speechwriter certainly should have), what Harry represents is, in actuality, the most intense of Euroskeptic views alive in Britain today. In fact, by virtue of his firm grasp of history, his close observation of German elites during the period immediately following the war, and of the process by which the German designs that triggered two world wars have found modern-day expression through the building of today’s European Union, Harry represents a refreshingly real perspective on the dangers that German dominance of the EU pose to Britain such as is possessed by few Englishmen today.

The keenest of analysts have written much about how the German elites went underground toward the end of World War II to ensure perpetuation of their ongoing plan for global dominance. But it is a real education to hear it from the mouth of one who was an actual observer on the scene in Germany both pre-war and immediately following the Allied victory.

Harry Beckhough became a close acquaintance of Germany’s first postwar chancellor, Konrad Adenauer. This brought him into contact with Adenauer’s family and numerous German elites. Being fluent in the German language, Harry was able to listen in on conversations that few other Englishmen heard in the vicinity of the Chancellery.

In particular, Harry Beckhough was privy to conversations that Adenauer initiated about the value of various members of the Nazi Party and observed how the chancellor carefully brought many of them back into positions of authority and influence in the postwar administration within Germany. These were men who had not changed their ideology. Rather they were placed in positions where that Nazi spirit could be carefully nurtured and help craft a system specifically designed to politically, economically and culturally resurrect Germany to center stage, yet once again, in Europe and prepare the nation for a leading role as a world power.

Now, 65 years later, Harry Beckhough has lived to see that resurrection take place. He’s lived it all, as an eyewitness, from Hitler’s rise to power, to the crushing defeat of Nazi Germany by the Allies, on through the time of the reappointment of Nazi leaders into its early postwar government, through the great betrayal of the Heath government in lying to the British electorate about the nature of the European project, to the time where Britain now has become but a lackey of Berlin and Brussels, and now risks becoming one of Rome.

During Harry’s first visit to Germany in 1933, he witnessed Adolf Hitler’s inauguration. Then, during the war he was one of the bright young set of university graduates stationed at Bletchley Park involved in breaking the Nazi Enigma code. He continued during the war as a code breaker for General Montgomery and was later involved in breaking Japanese codes during the Pacific campaign. Harry rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the British Army.

Following Allied victory he continued on with the occupation forces in Germany, assigned to the British Foreign Office. His special brief was to reestablish the Rhineland universities along democratic lines, a project in which Adenauer took personal interest. This task brought him into contact with numerous government ministers and leading statesmen of the time.

From his observations over the first five years of reconstruction in Germany, Harry Beckhough was able to observe that “Adenauer’s government was riddled with ex-Nazis” (Germany’s Fourth Reich).

What Harry observed was later confirmed in the Madrid Circular Letter, a document contained in a dispatch intercepted by the Allies in the early 1950s en route from the underground Nazis’ German Geopolitical Center in Madrid. That center was established in 1942

“to plan for the postwar period and, if Germany was defeated, to develop a new methodology designed to reverse the outcomes of the defeats suffered by Germany in the First and Second World Wars” (Edward Harle).

As quoted by numerous reputable sources, the circular, prepared by elements of the Nazi cadre that had gone underground in the closing stages of World War II, reads in part:

“We must not forget that Germany has always considered any orientation towards the West as a policy of expedience …. It must be our supreme duty to place ourselves in the vanguard of the struggle to keep Europe out of any future war. If we succeed in this, we will surely gain the trust of the people and undisputed leadership in Europe, not excluding Britain. In such a roundabout way we would be able to establish the foundation for future world leadership” (Global Analysis, July 15, 2008).

German elites succeeded in keeping Europe out of any war till their nation unified in 1990. Immediately after Germany was united, German elites instigated conflict in the Balkans with the intent of enacting political change designed to attach the strategic Balkan Peninsula to a German-dominated European empire.

Those same elites cleverly manipulated an Anglo-American-dominated nato to fight their war for their possession of old Yugoslavia. At the same time, the German Luftwaffe “reluctantly” initiated its first combat mission in the skies over Kosovo. This became the thin edge of the wedge to gradually accustom the international community to the sight of German military personnel engaged in theaters progressively outside of Germany’s borders.

Since then, the Bundeswehr has gradually extended its remit to at least 11 international scenes of conflict, while carefully avoiding the use of the term “war” — at least until a fearless young aristocrat dared to publicly declare that Germany was really at war in Afghanistan (German Defence Minister Karl-Theodor Zu Guttenberg)!

Since then, German Defense Minister Karl-Theodor Zu Guttenberg has visited that particular theater of conflict on six separate occasions — after having taken on the defense portfolio just one year ago (2009).

Harry Beckhough is a true English gentleman of the old school. A child of the empire, born in its heyday and now living out his senior years amid Britain’s abject, supine yielding to the controlling powers in Brussels, Paris and, most especially, its old enemy, Berlin.

Of a truth, Prime Minister Cameron would not be where he is today had it not been for the Churchillian generation represented by Harry Beckhough — a generation that stood between a future of global peace and the horrors of global tyranny during what Winston Churchill called England’s finest hour 70 years ago.

But today, across the North Sea, in the land occupied by the modern descendants of Assyria, a young German baron stands head and shoulders above all comers, politically, on the European continent. He is one also trained in an old school, the old aristocratic, Roman Catholic school of Bavaria — the German state that has spawned such great postwar politicians as the strongman of Europe, Franz-Josef Strauss, and his political clone, Edmund Stoiber.

Now, out of this same Bavarian Christian Socialist school arises a young aristocrat who declares that Strauss is his hero and whose family traces its lineage back 900 years. That’s a real old school, a true dynasty.

There’s a real difference between these two old schoolers, Harry Beckough and Baron Guttenberg.

Each represents a bygone era — an era of true pomp and circumstance — a bygone imperial era rich in heritage.

Yet they are different.

The difference is not just in the 60 years that separates them in age. The difference is that Harry Beckhough — the old soldier, the old spy, the old observer of the old enemy Germany — is from an old school rapidly dying out, its leaders having long abandoned any attachment to their once glorious and, truth be known, God-given heritage. Today’s toothless Britain, now utterly incapable of defending itself, goes cap in hand to France, the nation against which it has fought more naval battles than any other, to seek assurance from France that it will come to Britain’s aid in times of trouble. Fat chance! Read the history!

Over on the Continent, another old school is awakening. It’s an old German aristocratic, militaristic school, denied expression of its powerful heritage for a lifetime, now suddenly feeling its oats, feeling that its time has come. Germany is bursting out of its self-imposed pacifist, democratic cocoon, within which it was never comfortable, and is stretching its wings once again.

All of a sudden, Germany’s voice is more strident, its military goals more clearly articulated, the true intent of its elites — trained in the spirit of the Madrid circular — sounding shriller by the week. And amid all this, Germany clamors for a leader of the old school — the old, imperial, aristocratic school of the Kaisers, of regal courtly pomp, the sound of marching bands and the clicking of heels in cavernous halls resplendent with the icons of past imperial glory.

What a contrast.

One old imperial power, the once Great Britain, ashamed of its past glory, seeks to apologize for its once grand history with a politically correct force born of effeminate left-wing appeasers such as only can emanate from a sadly self-emasculated power.

This, at a time when another old imperial power, one with a history of continuous militaristic resurrection, anxious to exert its newly revived political and economic clout on the world scene, suddenly is reviving its Teutonic national pride.

Only one result can come from all this. We’ve seen it play out before. But that was in a time before nuclear weapons were parked on the Continent and European air forces trained in their delivery, including the Luftwaffe.

Prime Minister Cameron’s overtures to France to be Britain’s protector in times of threat to British security are but a harbinger of an even more unbelievable scenario — one prophesied in your Bible. When trust breaks down between Britain and its traditional allies, let alone its old enemy France (and just when did Britain and France ever trust each other? — look at what happened to the Entente Cordiale), your Bible prophesies that the nation which it describes as a “silly dove” will go begging for protection from the very nation that has lusted for its demise for generations — Germany !

The signs are that this unbelievable scenario is fast approaching (Hosea 7:11; 8:9).

Herbert Armstrong publicly warned of each step that Germany would take, in consortium with the Vatican, to resurrect the old Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation. He died before most of those prophecies were fulfilled. Over the past 20 years, the Trumpet has reported, accurately and in detail, as each prophesied element of that old empire has been put in place. We are now reporting regularly on the final two elements, German military dominance and the Vatican’s spiritual dominance of Europe, leaping month by month into perspective.

Yet still, it is the few who see this great reality while the public remain largely ignorant of the massive disruption that this phenomenon is about to cause in their lives.

We salute the Harry Beckhoughs of the world who do see it, and who do their best to warn of it. They are far too few.

Yet this magazine has a powerful voice, a global voice that no man can shut down (Revelation 3:8). And we will continue with ever increasing strength and power, month by month, to warn of this rising beast — to warn till we are sure that no man or woman will ever be able to claim that they were ignorant of its reality when the global catastrophe it triggers is upon them.

In the process, our prayer is that some will heed, before it’s too late, and turn to their Maker in an endeavor to truly please and obey Him, rather than continue to pursue their own selfish ways, and in that process of repentance, become part of the grand solution for peace — globe-girdling world peace — that will follow (Isaiah 9:7).
