ANTIGO , a See also:city and the See also:county-seat of Langlade county, See also:Wisconsin, U.S.A., about 16o m. N.W. of See also:Milwaukee. Pop. (1890) 4424; (1900) 5145, of whom 965 were See also:foreign-See also:born; (1905) 6663; (1gio) 7196. It is served by the See also:Chicago & See also:North Western railway. Antigo is the centre of a See also:good farming and lumbering See also:district, and its manufactures consist principally of See also:lumber,chairs,See also:furniture,sashes,doors and blinds, hubs and spokes, and other See also:wood products. The city has a See also:Carnegie library. Antigo was first settled in 188o, and was chartered as a city in 1885.
