In 1767 he became See also:minister of a Congregational See also:church at See also:Dover, New See also:Hampshire, remaining there until 1787, when he removed to Federal See also:Street church, Boston. He is recognized as the founder of the See also:Massachusetts See also:Historical Society, and in 1792 became an overseer of Harvard. He died at Boston on the loth of June 1798.
