Bolbec is important for its See also:cotton See also:spinning and See also:weaving, and carries on the See also:dyeing and See also:printing of the fabric, and the manufacture of See also:sugar. There are a chamber of See also:commerce and a See also:board of See also:trade-See also:arbitration. The town was enthusiastic in the cause of the Reformed See also:Religion in the 16th See also:century, and still contains many Protestants. It was burned almost to the ground in 1765.
