(1901) town 1987; See also:commune 9879. The old (upper) town (732 ft. above See also:sea-level), contains the See also:cathedral, dating from the 13th See also:century, with a See also:pulpit partly of this See also:period; the See also:facade has been modernized. There are also some old palaces of See also:good See also:architecture, and the old See also:house where Arnolfo di Cambio, the first architect of the cathedral at See also:Florence (1232–1301) was See also:born. The See also:lower town (46o ft.) contains See also:glass-See also:works; the See also:paper and See also:iron See also:industries (the former as old as 1377) are less important.
