FAVARA , a See also:

town of See also:Sicily, in the See also:province of See also:Girgenti, 5 m. E. of Girgenti by road. Pop. (1901) 20,398. It possesses a See also:fine See also:castle of the Chiaramonte See also:family, erected in 1280. The town has a considerable agricultural See also:trade, and there are See also:sulphur and other mines in the neighbourhood.
