GEORGSWALDE , a See also:

town of Bohemia, See also:Austria, 115 M. N.E. of See also:Prague by See also:rail. Pop. (1900) 8131, including Neu-Georgswalde, Wiesenthal and Philippsdorf, which See also:form together a single See also:commune. Georgswalde is one of the See also:oldest See also:industrial places of Bohemia, and together with the neighbouring town of See also:Rum-See also:burg is the See also:principal centre of the See also:linen See also:industry. The See also:village of Philippsdorf, now incorporated with Georgswalde, has become since 1866 a famous See also:place of See also:pilgrimage, owing to the miracles attributed to an See also:image of the Virgin, placed now in a magnificent new See also:church (1885).
