GRADO , a See also:

town of See also:northern See also:Spain, in the See also:province of See also:Oviedo; 11 m. W. by N. of the See also:city of Oviedo, on the See also:river Cubia, a See also:left-See also:hand tributary of the Nalon. Pop. (19oo) 17,125. Grado is built in the midst of a mountainous, well-wooded and fertile region. It has some See also:trade in See also:timber, live stock, See also:cider and agricultural produce. The nearest railway station is that of the Fabrica de Trubia, a royal See also:cannon-foundry and small-arms factory, 5 m. S.E.
