GRIVET , a See also:

monkey, Cercopithecus sabaeus, of the See also:guenon See also:group, nearly allied to the See also:green monkey. It is See also:common through-out See also:equatorial See also:Africa. The See also:chin, whiskers and a broad See also:band across the forehead, as well as the under-parts, are See also:white, and the See also:head and back See also:olive-green. These monkeys are very commonly seen in menageries.
