GUMTI , a See also:

It rises in a depression in the See also:Pilibhit See also:district of the See also:United Provinces, and after a sinuous but generally See also:south-easterly course of 500 M. past See also:Lucknow and See also:Jaunpur joins the See also:Ganges in Ghazipar district. At Jaunpur it is a See also:fine stream, spanned by a 16th-See also:century See also:bridge of sixteen See also:arches, and is navigable by vessels of 17 tons See also:burden. There is also a small river of the same name in the See also:Tippera district of eastern See also:Bengal and See also:Assam.
