The See also:east is See also:forest-clad, poor and unhealthy; on the other See also:side of the Mala the See also:land becomes more fertile. The See also:chief See also:river is the Sarda, and the See also:Gumti rises in the east. The See also:principal crops are See also:rice, pulses, See also:wheat and See also:sugar-See also:cane. Sugar-refining is carried on, and sugar, wheat, rice and See also:hemp are exported.
