HUBERTUSBURG , a See also:

chateau in the See also:kingdom of See also:Saxony, near the See also:village of Wermsdorf and midway 6 m. between the towns See also:Oschatz and See also:Grimma. It was built in 1721-1724 by See also:Frederick See also:Augustus II., elector of Saxony, subsequently See also:King Augustus III. of See also:Poland, as a See also:hunting See also:box, and was often the See also:scene of brilliant festivities. It is famous for the See also:peace signed here on the 15th of See also:February 1763, which ended the Seven Years' See also:War. After undergoing various vicissitudes, it now serves the purpose of a lunatic See also:asylum and a training school for See also:nursing sisters.
