KOORINGA [BURRA] , a See also:town of Burra See also:county, See also:South See also:Australia on Burra See also:Creek, 1o1 m. by See also:rail N. by E. of See also:Adelaide. Pop. (1901), 1994. It is the centre of a See also:mining and agricultural See also:district in which large areas are devoted to See also:wheat-growing. The famous Burra Burra See also:copper mine, discovered by a shepherd in 1844, is See also:close to the town, while See also:silver and See also:lead ore is also found in the vicinity.
