LINSANG , the native name of one of the members of the viverrine genus Linsanga. There are four See also:species of the genus, from the Indo-See also:Malay countries. Linsangs are See also:civet-like creatures, with the See also:body and tail greatly elongated; and the ground See also:colour fulvous marked with bold See also:black patches, which in one species (L. pardicolor) are oblong.
