LUDENSCHEID , a See also:

town in the Prussian See also:province of See also:Westphalia,.19 M. by See also:rail S.S.E. of See also:Hagen. Pop. (19o5) 28,921. It is the seat of various hardware manufactures, among them See also:metal-plated and See also:tin-plated goods, buckles, See also:fancy nails and brooches, and has See also:iron-foundries and See also:machine shops. From the See also:counts of-See also:Altena Liidenscheid passed to the counts of the See also:Mark, with which See also:district it was ceded to See also:Brandenburg See also:early in the 17th See also:century.
