MUNSTERBERG , a See also:

town of See also:Germany, in the Prussian See also:province of See also:Silesia, on the Oblau, 36 m. by See also:rail S. of See also:Breslau. Pop. (19o5), 8475. It is partly surrounded by See also:medieval walls. It has manufactures of drain-pipes and fireproof bricks; there arc also See also:sulphur springs. Munsterberg was formerly the See also:capital of the principality of the same name, which existed from the 14th See also:century down to 1791, when it was See also:purchased by the Prussian See also:crown. Near the town is the former Cistercian See also:abbey of Heinrichau.
