Pop. (1900), 12,874. Muron has an old See also:cathedral. It is the See also:chief See also:entrepot for See also:grain from the See also:basin of the See also:lower Oka, and carries on an active See also:trade with See also:Moscow and Nizhniy-See also:Novgorod. It is famed, as in See also:ancient times, for See also:kitchen-gardens, especially for its cucumbers and See also:seed for canaries.
