town of See also:Tuscany, See also:Italy, in the See also:province of See also:Lucca, from which it is 15 M. E.N.E. by See also:rail, 203 ft. above See also:sea-level. Pop. (1901), 12,400 (town); 18,000 (See also:commune). The See also:cathedral, restored in 1693, contains the See also:fine See also:chapel of the Turini See also:family, built for Baldassare Turini (d. 1540) by Giuliano di See also:Baccio of See also:Florence, with his See also:tomb by Raffaello da Montelupo. The town also has some buildings by Lazzaro Buggiano, the See also:pupil and adoptive son of See also:Brunelleschi. It has See also:silk and See also:paper manufactures.
