capital of Pinar del Rio See also:Province, See also:Cuba, about Io7 m. S.W. by railway from See also:Havana. Pop. (1907), 10,634. The See also:city is in the fertile valley of the Guama. It is the centre of the See also:tobacco See also:industry of the Vuelta Abajo region. Its See also:port is La Coloma, on the See also:southern See also:coast. The See also:pueblo was created after 1773; but the See also:history of the See also:settlement goes back to 1J71, and the parochial See also:church See also:dates from 1710.
