SAETERSDAL , a See also:

district in the See also:south of See also:Norway, comprising the valleys of the See also:Otter See also:river and its tributaries. The river rises in the fjelds above the Bukken See also:Fjord, and flows south to Christiansund. The natives preserve old customs and an individual See also:costume. A railway follows the valley to Byglands Fjord (48 m.), on the See also:lake of that name, fostering the See also:local agricultural and See also:timber See also:trade, and a See also:driving road continues to Viken i See also:Valle from which bridle-paths See also:lead to Dalen in Telemarken, and over the Enden and Malen fjelds to Lake Suldal on the See also:Bratlandsdal route.
