UAKARI (Ouakari) , the native name of certain tropical See also:American monkeys, distinguished from all other New See also:World monkeys by their See also:short tails. The three known See also:species constitute the genus Uacaria (or Cothurus) of zoologists, and are See also:con-fined to the forests of Amazonia and the neighbourhood.
