ALASSIO , a See also:town of See also:Liguria, See also:Italy, on the N.W. See also:coast of the Gulf of See also:Genoa, in the See also:province of Genoa, 57 M. S.W. of the town of the same name by See also:rail. Pop. (1901) 5630. It is mainly noticeable as a See also:health resort in See also:winter and a bathing-See also:place in summer, and has many hotels. The anchorage is safe, and the See also:bay full of See also:fish; the See also:harbour has a certain amount of See also:trade.
