ALEXANDROVSK . (1) A See also:

town of N. See also:Russia, in the See also:government of See also:Archangel, on the See also:harbour of See also:Catherine (Ekaterininsk), on the Murman See also:coast, 5 m. from the mouth of See also:Kola See also:Bay. It was opened in 1.899 and is a See also:naval station, being See also:free from See also:ice all the See also:year See also:round. It is also, called See also:Port Catherine. Pop. (1901) 300. (2) A town of S. Russia, 83 m. S. of See also:Ekaterinoslav, on the railway to the See also:Crimea, near the See also:left See also:bank of the See also:Dnieper, below its rapids. Pop. (1897) 16,393.

Opposite it is the See also:

island of Khortitsa, upon which was the sicl (or syech) or See also:camp of theZaporozhianCossacks. All its neighbourhood is strewn with kurgans (tumuli).
