CARUPANO , a See also:

town and See also:port of the See also:state of See also:Bermudez, See also:Venezuela, 65 m. N.E. of the See also:city of See also:Cumana. Pop. (1908, estimate) 8600. Carfipano is situated on the Caribbean See also:coast at the opening of two valleys, and is a port of See also:call for several See also:regular steamship lines. Its mean See also:annual temperature is 81° F., but the See also:climate is healthy, because of its open situation on the coast. The See also:country immediately behind the town is rough, but there is a considerable export of cacao, See also:coffee, See also:sugar, See also:cotton, See also:timber and See also:rum.
