CHACMA , the Hottentot name of the Cape See also:

baboon, Papio porcarius, a See also:species inhabiting the mountains of See also:South See also:Africa as far See also:north as the See also:Zambezi. Of the approximate See also:size of an See also:English mastiff, this powerful baboon is blackish See also:grey in See also:colour with a tinge of See also:green due to the yellow rings on most of the hairs. Unlike most of its tribe, it is a See also:good climber; and where wooded cliffs are not available, will take up its quarters in tall trees. Chacmas frequently See also:strip orchards and See also:fruit-gardens, break and devour See also:ostrich eggs, and kill See also:lambs and kids for the See also:sake of the See also:milk in their stomachs.
