CLETUS , formerly regarded as the name of one of the See also:

early successors of St See also:Peter in the see of See also:Rome, or, according to See also:Epiphanius and See also:Rufinus, as sharing the direction of the See also:Roman See also:Church with See also:Linus during Peter's lifetime. He has been identified beyond doubt with See also:Anencletus (q.v.). See Pere See also:Colombier, in Rev. See also:des questions kist. Ap. 1st, 1876, p. 413.
