They are of the easiest culture. The cuttings of See also:young shoots should be propagated every See also:year, about See also:March, being, planted in thumb pots, in sandy See also:loam, and placed in a See also:close temperature of 70°. After taking See also:root shift into 6-in. pots, using See also:ordinary See also:light loamy compost, containing abundance of See also:leaf-See also:mould and See also:sand, and keeping them near the light. They may be passed on into larger pots as often as required, but 8-in. pots will be large enough for See also:general purposes, as they can be fed with liquid manure. The young See also:spring-struck plants like a warm growing See also:atmosphere, but by midsummer they will See also:bear more See also:air and stand in a See also:green-See also:house or conservatory. They should be wintered in a temperature of 6o° to 65°. The stopping of the young shoots must be regulated by the See also:consideration whether bushy or pyramidal plants are desired. Some of the varieties are See also:half-See also:hardy and are used for summer bedding.
