COOLGARDIE , a municipal See also:

town in Western See also:Australia, 310 M. by See also:rail E. by N. of See also:Perth, and 528 M. by rail N.E. of See also:Albany. Pop. (1901) 4249. Its See also:gold-See also:fields were discovered in 1891 and are among the richest in the See also:colony. See also:Lignite, See also:copper, See also:graphite and See also:silver are also found. Toorak and See also:Montana are small residential suburbs. A remarkable See also:engineering See also:work by which a full See also:supply of See also:water was brought to the town from See also:Fremantle (a distance exceeding 330 M. See also:direct) was completed in 1903.
