W.S.W. of See also:London by the London & See also:South-Western railway. Pop. of See also:urban See also:district (1900 4226. It is pleasantly situated in a wooded hollow, in the upper valley of the See also:river Parret. The See also:church of St See also:Bartholomew, one of the finest in the See also:county, is in the Perpendicular See also:style characteristic of the district. The ornamentation throughout is beautiful, and the See also:west front especially notable. The See also:grammar school See also:dates from 1499, but occupies See also:modern buildings. See also:Sail-See also:cloth, horsehair, cloth and webbing are manufactured.
