DHARAMPUR , a native See also:

The See also:population in 1901 was 100,430, being a decrease of 17% during the See also:decade ; the estimated See also:gross See also:revenue is £25,412 ; and the See also:tribute £600. Its See also:chief is a Sesodia See also:Rajput. The state has been surveyed for See also:land revenue on the Bombay See also:system. It contains one See also:town, Dharampur (pop. in 1901, 63,449), and 272 villages. Only a small See also:part of the state, the See also:climate of which is very unhealthy, is capable of cultivation ; the See also:rest is covered with rocky hills, See also:forest and brushwood. s See also:Nizam-ud-din, whose beautiful See also:marble See also:tomb is at Indarpat near See also:Delhi, was, according to some authorities, an See also:assassin of the See also:secret society of See also:Khorasan. By some See also:modern authorities he is supposed to have been the founder of Thuggism, the See also:Thugs having a See also:special reverence for his memory.
